Catherine Landry Counselling
“Take root, sprout, branch out, bud – make of your life a breathing palace of leaves”.
- Mary Oliver
The Counselling process is a journey from the head to the heart. Within this process I will guide and support you in uncovering, discovering and recovering your true self….your authentic and original aliveness.
I offer a safe and supportive space in which you can slow down, breath and tune into your thoughts, feelings and body. A place where you can express yourself, be heard and explore what it is you value and need.
Like the tree we are created to root deeply into the earth through our legs and feet, grow and flow up through our trunk, limbs and head. Like the tree we also unfurl leaves and may also bloom flowers/fruit which can be seen as “our life purpose”, our talents, gifts and learnings we may share with others. And like the trees that so eloquently connect through the mycelium underneath the earth, we too are inherently connected and belong to the earth and to each other.

I will walk alongside you with awareness, compassion and curiosity as we unravel what has been holding you back from living a full and meaningful life. Most often it is our culture and conditioning that keeps us from our birthright of joy and aliveness. Within our past and perhaps current relationships (family, educational institutions, spiritual traditions etc), we may have experienced pain and have often been met with anything but loving and holding environments.
These experiences often lead to:

These experiences often lead to:

* blockages of energy in our bodies leaving us feeling “stuck”, “shut down”, disconnected, shame, embarrassed and afraid to show up as we are.
* when we don’t feel safe to be who we are it is difficult to sustain a relationship to our feelings and our bodies and we may have thoughts like “there is something inherently wrong with me”. “I am not good, attractive or worthy enough of the good things in life”. “I don’t deserve to be loved as I am”.
* when we are cut off from our feelings and our bodies it is difficult to feel supported by each other and the earth.
And it is from this deep connection to each other and the earth that we are able to ground, grow, flow and create.
The good news, as Rumí says so beautifully is:
“The Wound is where the light enters you.
I will meet you there”.
- Rumi
